Changes to the business – Italy here we come

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Its been a long time since I last posted a blog and there are a number of reasons for this.

Most importantly we haven’t been idle or standing still!! We have been busy working with clients to set up a brand new wine and restaurant business in Sheffield and I have to confess its got us really excited. One of the strangest things has been the lack of any physical prescence for the business.

Whilst this undoubtedly has its advantages I can’t help being sad at the lack of real contact with clients. After all that’s why I enjoy my work so much. The chance to bring a little bit of excitement to people when we open another bottle of wine they’ve never seen or tried.

Well we’re back to being in front of the customer again now and I can’t wait. Currently in the process of being designed the new venture will be situated on Kelham Island and will incorporate a wine shop, restaurant and innovative on site cookery school. Something a little bit special I can promise.

So with the vast majority of my time consumed by this its been quite a challenge to keep this site up to date. But this will be changing over the next few months.

Having launched a new site, www.slavetothevine.com where you will be able to buy the variety of wines we have hosted in the past we will be using the opportunity to take Rose Wines to where my real passion lies. Italian Wines.

Over the next few months we will be converting the site to a fully operational and exciting little piece of Italy as we turn to specialising in all things Italian (and vineyard related as well!!!). We will be doing this gradually and will be offering some great deals and opportunities in the transition as we move our non Italian stock.

Please use the opportunity to let us know all things that you like about Italy and we’ll try our best to make sure they’re incorporated in the new site. But suffice to say I cannot wait to get some of the real stars of Italian wines out on show. We will also be introducing Italian tastings and trying our best to learn about technology to make it as involving as possible for everyone.

So watch this space!! Ciao!
